Nitrox

Sign up for a Nitrox Course!

Enriched air, or Nitrox, is a gas mixture that contains more oxygen than air. Breathing more oxygen at depth means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals because of the decreased percentage of nitrogen in the gas mixture. Decreased nitrogen levels mean longer “no decompression limits.” The Scuba Dive offers the Computer Nitrox course to equip divers with the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and enjoyable Nitrox diving.

You will learn the benefits, limits, and proper procedures for using Nitrox mixtures from 22–40% oxygen content. You will also learn about equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, and analyzing gas mixtures.
